I have the iPad version of this and it’s great. I must get the desktop version too, as this review makes it sound really impressive.
A first impression from yours truly!
Comprehensive real world (i.e. no charts) review by Steve Huff.
I got to spend a little time with the Fuji X10. Check out my opinions after using it for a few days.
Steve Huff compares the video of both cameras. The Olympus is the clear winner, by a long shot. What’s really impressive is how well the 5-axis stabiliser works on the Olympus.
Writing for Luminous Landscape Bernard Languillier has a good round up of pros and cons based on using the D800 for a few weeks. Overall he seems impressed.
Oh baby, please, just focus! There was nothing challenging to focus on during this shoot, plenty of contrast and texture, nonetheless, I can’t recall a shoot in recent years with so many mis-focused images. This is serious, my friends, because the best sensor/lens/hybrid viewfinder won’t matter if the images are blurry! I am at a loss for words here, there is really nothing I can say except, Fuji, PLEASE try your best to improve it with the next firmware and use a much better AF module in your next model. I love the camera but the current state of AF disqualifies it for the type of work I would want to shoot with it.
Mike Kobal on shooting with the Fuji X-Pro 1. On the plus side he does find a lot to like about the camera too, but it’s interesting that more and more people are complaining (loudly) about the focus. Check out his review though, he has some great images.
